In which my first year is Crammed into One post.

So guys, I've been Neglecting my Blog something fierce. So I decided to update it! :D

Images are From earliest to most recent. I only included a couple of my favorite projects too, so I have a LOT more but this post is for my favorites!

This Image to the Left was a Final from a bookcover project we had in which we had to alter Symbols to tell a story. It went through a lot of changes and I was pretty happy with the Final Image.

The Image to the Right here was done as a Final for My drawing class, Which was an open ended subject matter which we had to do in Ink wash. I really love this technique! I'm pretty happy with how this one came out too, The skulls are probably my favorite part!

This Image was done for my color class, we had an open assignment as long as we used some of the things we learned in class to make it with. I wanted to go back to digital, and play around with the ideas from the class to see how to apply it to the Digital Medium. As for Subject matter, well I'm a big fan of Pokemon and I also wanted to work on composition since it's a weak spot of mine. In the end I'm pretty happy with how it came out, and I would love to try new ways to render the trees.

Although this piece wasn't for a class, I really liked it. I entered this into a contest to win a Signed Lithograph and Art book for the Game Alice:Madness Returns. I really loved the first game, and the chance to utilize what I've learned this year for my own personal enjoyment was nice. In the end I'm not too terribly fond of all the colors, and think I could have done more. But I'm especially happy with the way I rendered the Blade handle and the hands.

This last project was probably one of my favorites, I did it for my intro to Illustration class, our goal was to make a book cover for a classic book. Naturally I chose Alice in wonderland. I really took my time with the color and used the techniques we learned for this Media (Acrylic Wash) to achieve the look I wanted I love how the painting came out!

Looking through these I think I can most certainly see an improvement, and I'm planning on pushing myself harder than ever!
